India’s ‘brain drain’ not entirely negative, says foreign minister Jaishankar

Indians living and working overseas have helped India build relationships with other countries, India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said, as he called for “a contemporary way” of viewing India’s brain drain.
China, like many developing economies, has experienced a brain drain for decades as some of its best and brightest minds travelled overseas for their education and employment. The tech revolution and the rise of startup unicorns attracted even more to places like Silicon Valley.
